Hi folks, no time this week for a long post.  Just wanted to write something quick about the Blade CX2 RTF.

If you are looking for an RC helicopter that takes you from the beginner stage and moves you up a bit into the RC helicopter

enthusiast category, consider the Blade CX2 RTF Electric Coaxial Micro Helicopter.

The Blade CX2 takes things up a notch from the original Blade CX by adding additional technology called the Spectrum 2.4GHz radio control.  This allows you to fly this amazing helicopter anywhere you want without worrying about interference.

The 4-in-1 control unit features a more updated and improved gyro and tail control mechanism that allows for better tail response and minimizes drift.  You get more powerful and precise cyclic control with the two feather-light S60 Super Sub-Micro Servos which allows for better communication with the receiver.

Durability:

Although construction of the Blade CX2 is reported to be rugged, crashing is going to happen and when it does, you can break a blade or two.  Many customers have recommended that you have extra parts available for these crashes but have also stated that the extra parts are fairly inexpensive and easy to find.

One very happy customer gave the Blade CX2 a 4 out of 5 stars for durability and then went on to say, “This is not a cheap hobby. You will be spending more money on replacement rotors, shafts… Good news…CX2 parts are relatively cheap.”

Battery Life:

Batteries are rechargeable and take 1 to 2 hours to charge.  Once fully charged, you will receive a flight time of about 15 minutes.  This is by far one of the longest flight times on the market for RC helicopters.

Who Should Buy It:

I would recommend this RC helicopter to anyone who is searching for a helicopter that offers just a bit more challenge than your beginner helicopters.

Price:

The price does seem to be a bit high but can be justified in that the helicopter will provide you with many months of enjoyable use.  If you do happen to brake a blade or a rotor, you can easily fix the helicopter with easy and inexpensive replacement parts.
